成立于1937年的牧野机床是日本最早生产出数控铣床和加工中心的机床制造商。面对中国制造业蓬勃发展的需求，2002年牧野亚洲公司出资在江苏昆山成立牧野机床(中国)有限公司。牧野中国是牧野最重要的电加工机床生产基地，同时还开发机器相关的应用软件，提供相关产品的技术和维修服务，研发满足中国用户需求的产品等。
